Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Compare and order real numbers and solve real-world problems using the four operations on rational numbers, applying order of operations correctly.
  • Classify two- and three-dimensional geometric figures, solve ratio/proportion and scale problems, and choose and convert measurement units appropriately.
  • Determine whether algebraic expressions are equivalent, translate real-world situations into expressions/equations/inequalities, and solve linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, and literal equations.
  • Determine slope and intercepts, graph linear relationships, identify functions across representations, and compare functions given in different forms.
  • Analyze data for measures of center and spread, identify misleading graphs and statistics, solve probability and counting problems, and evaluate the validity of survey and study conclusions.

Who Should Participate?

The course is designed for self-paced independent study but works equally well as the backbone of an instructor-led review session, a study-group curriculum, or a district-run test-prep cohort.
