Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) & Teacher Wellness
Why This Learning Experience?
This instructor-guided professional learning experience is designed to help educators learn on their schedule while still receiving meaningful support. Participants complete practical activities, connect ideas to real classroom practice, and build confidence through application-focused learning.
Learning Experience Overview
This course equips educators with the knowledge, strategies, and tools needed to integrate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into classroom practice while maintaining their own wellness and resilience. In today’s educational environment, SEL is more than an instructional initiative—it is a foundational component of effective teaching, positive school culture, and student success.
Participants explore the five core Social-Emotional Learning competencies and learn practical ways to embed them into daily instruction, classroom routines, and school culture. The course also emphasizes educator well-being by addressing stress, burnout, resilience, and sustainable self-care practices.
Lessons progress from foundational SEL concepts to classroom implementation, trauma-informed and inclusive practices, teacher wellness, and long-term action planning. Through reflection activities, practical tools, case studies, and implementation exercises, educators develop strategies that foster empathy, belonging, resilience, and positive relationships while supporting their own professional sustainability.
By the end of the course, participants will have a toolkit of SEL strategies and a personalized action plan for supporting both student growth and educator wellness.
